Sending invoices automatically and using AI to score leads are very different jobs. These are the reasons the price moves.
Each workflow is mapped, built and tested on its own. One form that sends an invoice and five workflows that feed each other are both "automation", but the size is nothing alike. Every workflow starts with a trigger (a form, a schedule, an API call), follows some rules, and ends with an action.
Every outside system you connect (Google Sheets, WhatsApp, bKash, Slack, Shopify) needs its own API setup, login handling and a plan for when something fails. Connecting 2 tools is far simpler and cheaper than keeping 8 or more in sync.
Plain rule-based automation (if this happens, do that) costs the least. Adding GPT or other AI, to summarise documents, draft emails or score leads, means writing prompts, connecting the AI API and checking the output. Training your own model adds a lot more time and cost on top.
