Most people land on a business website with one question: can these people do the thing I need? Design is what answers that question, or fails to. It is not decoration.
Three seconds to say what you do
The first screen has to name the work in plain words. Not a slogan. If a visitor has to scroll to work out what you sell, most of them will not scroll.
It has to be fast on a phone, on mobile data
In Bangladesh that is the real test. Most visitors arrive on a phone, often on a weak connection. A site that takes six seconds to show anything has already lost. Speed is not a technical nicety here, it is whether the page gets seen at all.
The way to contact you cannot be hidden
A phone number, a WhatsApp link, a form that works. Buried behind two clicks is the same as absent. This is the single most common thing we find wrong on an existing site.
It has to look like the same company on every page
One typeface, one set of colours, headings the same size everywhere. When pages drift apart it reads as careless, and people transfer that judgement to the work.
What to check on your own site
- Open it on your phone on mobile data, not WiFi, and count the seconds
- Ask someone who does not know your business what you sell, after five seconds on the home page
- Try to contact yourself without using the menu
- Open two pages side by side and see whether they look related
If any of those fail, that is where the work is. Tell us what your site does now and we will go through it.
